A fleeting moment of light at Brännskär harbor during a solitary autumn voyage.

This photograph was created during a three-day solo sailing journey in the Archipelago Sea National Park. Alone among the islands, the days were shaped by rapidly changing autumn conditions — rain, wind, brief calm, and light that revealed itself only in passing.

At Brännskär, the rain began to ease just as the sun was lowering behind the clouds. For a short while, light broke through, touching the harbor and reflecting softly across the water. Ahead lay Brännskär’s small marina — and my own boat, resting quietly at the pier after days of movement.

Between Weather and Light explores transition, solitude, and presence. It captures a moment suspended between changing conditions — where motion pauses, light returns, and the landscape feels both intimate and expansive at once.

All photographs are printed in their original 3:2 aspect ratio, preserving the artist’s intended composition.

Fine art paper prints are produced on A-series paper sizes and include a natural white border for matting and framing. Image dimensions therefore differ slightly from the paper size.
